WinPAC and WinCON 8000 Programming Software: Micro TRACE MODE 6
Micro TRACE MODE 6 for WinPAC 8000 and ViewPAC Controller IEC 6-1131/3 Programming and Embedded HMI Development: Power and Ease of Use
Micro TRACE MODE 6 for WinPAC 8000 and ViewPAC is a special OEM-version of Micro TRACE MODE 6 SOFTLOGIC runtime for WinPAC 8000 and ViewPAC controllers running under Windows CE.net hard real time operation system (RTOS).
The controller can be programmed in the easy, intuitive and at the same time powerful TRACE MODE development system, offering such advanced features as adaptive control, hot redundancy, online program editing and debugging, embedded HMI and so on.
The Micro TRACE MODE 6 is installed onto controller by simple copying from PC via Ethernet (or serial port) using Windows CE Explorer. There is also another way of transferring the files: one can use a controller Compact Flash memory card slot.
The minimum system cycle of Micro TRACE MODE 6 for WinPAC 8000 and ViewPAC under Windows CE is equal to 2 ms. This time span is however sufficient for calculation of 150 channels.
The WinPAC 8000 and ViewPAC controller programming is done in a handy TRACE MODE 6 SCADA development system for Windows using any of the 5 IEC 61131-3 standard programming languages. The ready programs can be uploaded onto controller remotely, directly from the integrated TRACE MODE 6 development environment without interruption of controllers programming. The programs can be remotely launched, stopped and edited online without stopping the controller.
If the WinPAC 8000 and ViewPAC controller is connected to PC via Ethernet, one can use powerful TRACE MODE SPY feature for program debugging.
The WinPAC 8000 and ViewPAC controllers programming is done in a very easy way. All input/output cards and network connections are automated by the TRACE MODE autobuilding technology and done by simple drag-n-dropping. The controllers are connected to PC through the built-in I-NET (Ethernet) and M-LINK (RS) protocols, via network, RS 232/485, modem, GSM-modem, GPRS.
While using WinPAC 8000 and ViewPAC with other SCADA software (non TRACE MODE 6), one can use the TRACE MODE OPC server (optional).

The unique feature of the Micro TRACE MODE 6 for WinPAC 8000 and ViewPAC consists in the high quality embedded HMI. The embedded HMI may be used in operator panels, connected directly to the VGA port of the controller (WinPAC) or on the embedded screen (ViewPAC).
Programming of the controller embedded HMI is done in a very easy way. The controller embedded HMI screens are created in a powerful and handy graphical editor of the TRACE MODE development system. The Micro TRACE MODE 6 supports 3D graphics, dynamic text, bar graphs, buttons, trends, etc. Most of the TRACE MODE library components are available for embedded HMI too.

Besides built-in input/output modules WinPAC 8000 and ViewPAC supports distributed I/O modules (DCS) such as I7000, I8000, ADAM 4000, ADAM-5000/485, Teconic, LAGOON, ROBO, NuDAM-6000 and RIO-2000 series. It also supports MODBUS RTU (master) and MODBUS TCP (master). The software has driver for electrical energy meters. Micro TRACE MODE has optional support of the IEC 60870-5-101 and IEC 60870-5-104 master and slave protocols. All IO drivers are built-in and require no extra charge.
For process PID control systems the Micro TRACE MODE 6 for WinPAC 8000 and ViewPAC offers a high tech feature - adaptive PID-loop self tuning technology. It makes it possible to tune the industrial PID control loops automatically in continuous or used defined mode. The self tuning process can be instantly monitored on the embedded HMI or on PC.
TRACE MODE 6 is designed in a way to provide maximum reliability of the control systems. TRACE MODE 6 offers hot redundancy for practically all control system components, e.g.:
for I/O cards, remote I/O modules, programmable logical controllers (PLC) with traditional (closed) architecture;
for communications between I/O and the TRACE MODE node, between TRACE MODE nodes – controllers, operator stations, client stations (via net, RS-232/485);
for controllers.
Redundancy features for the most components of the control system are provided automatically and no additional programming is required.
In the TRACE MODE IDE the redundant PLC nodes may be created utterly easy – with one click of the mouse.
The time span required for switching to the standby WinPAC 8000 and ViewPAC node is:
from 2 ms while the DI_DO channels are used;
from 1 s if the Ethernet is used.
For WinPAC 8000 and ViewPAC models with dual network adapters the Micro TRACE MODE 6 offers hot redundancy for network communications. The network redundancy in TRACE MODE 6 is also fully automated and requires no programming at all.

The Micro TRACE MODE 6 for WinPAC 8000 and ViewPAC software has flexible licensing policy, enabling significant price reduction for the end user.
License policy:Micro TRACE MODE 6 for WinPAC/ViewPAC-8000 is licensed for 1, 10, 100 or 1000 controllers with limited number of channels. The program is available in versions for 63, 127, 255, 511, 1,023, 2,047 and 4,095 channels.
