Teknofeed Uses TRACE MODE HMI in Fodder Additives Plant Batching Control

A Belgorod based AIT company (South of Russia) has successfully used TRACE MODE SCADA/HMI software to develop and to implement a batch control system for manufacturing of fodder additives. The control system has been installed in facility of TeknoFeed (Tshebekino, Belgorod area, Russia).

Facility of TeknoFeed manufacturing company, placed in Tshebekino, specializes on agricultural animal food market. The main of activities of the «TeknoFeed» are as follows: development, manufacturing and trading of fodder additives, acidifiers, vitamin-and-mineral complexes, water treatment matters and automated drinking bowls, zoo hygienic devices. Production of the plant is of high quality and delivered to cities of Black-soil region, to Leningrad-, Moscow-, Tomsk- and Novosibirsk areas, Ural and to other regions of Russian Federation. Moreover, «TeknoFeed» sells its products abroad.

The main task of the TeknoFeed control system consists in the most precise batch dosing of fodder additives. The control system maximizes batch dosing accuracy of loose and liquid components (acids) according recipes. It’s been also used for creating or management of recipes. The TRACE MODE based control system provides batch dosing of the components with different physical properties: moisture, fineness, fluidity  and so on with the same precision, according to recipes. 

The batch control system for manufacturing of fodder additives consists of:

  • control cabinet for batch dosing of loose components;
  • control cabinet for acid dosing;
  • control cabinet for batch dosing of feed of raw materials;
  • control cabinet for extrusion line.

At the field level in of the fodder additives manufacturing line the Russian made PLC OWEN» was used. The operator control system’s software is based on TRACE MODE SCADA/HMI.  

The TeknoFeed batch control system carries out a number of additional functionalities:

  • selection of the receipt by line operator which consists of: component list; dosing order; dosing precision to achieve;
  • change of dosing settings for one or few components in real time (non-stop);
  • monitoring of production line’s equipment status (actuators, sensors, transporters, mixers, compressors);
  • archiving of recipes and dosing results, printing of protocols for every weight measurement and recipe.
