On March 30, 2004, ICOS began supplying ADAM -5510/ HC and ADAM -5510/ HCG controllers with TRACE MODE inside on the Russian market. The new controllers are the result of an OEM-agreement between Advantech (Taiwan) and AdAstrA (Russia) on installation of the well-known Russian integrated SCADA- and Softlogic-system TRACE MODE onto the leading Advantech controllers and industrial PC's.

According to the terms and conditions of the agreement, the users purchasing the ADAM controllers get the software tool for PC-based PLC's programming, human-machine interface development, Web- and GSM-based applications. It will allow to widen the use Advantech controllers in control systems for various industry branches.

The new models have retained all advantages of the popular ADAM -5000 series and have gained some additional capabilities - the use of powerful development tools and ready algorithms libraries for programming and debugging of application problems. A convenient functions of the new controllers are the on-line project editing and the remote program loading and configuration of I/O devices.

The modification of ADAM-5510/HCG supports remote control features via GSM-modem, which provides the real time transmission of alarm messages in the SMS format to a SCADA server. The system also allows transferring data, receiving and executing commands.

The ADAM-5000 series controllers with TRACE MODE inside provide a convenient solution for industrial automation and remote control systems.

HART Driver for Micro TRACE MODE 6 to Connect HART Devices and WinCon 8000

AdAstrA Research Group, Ltd made available an external driver for Micro TRACE MODE 6 industrial controller programming system. This driver is designed to connect WinCon 8000 controller to sensors and flowmeters using a popular HART protocol.
