The SCADA/HMI TRACE MODE based Zirconium Electrolysis Control System Demonstrates High Reliability and Fast Payback

Chepetsk Mechanical Factory  (Glazov, Udmurtiya, Russia) is the biggest Russian manufacturer of pipes from zirconium alloys for fuel elements of nuclear reactors.

The zirconium electrolysis control system has been developed by the engineers from Chepetsk Mechanical Factory using PC-based controllers by Octagon Systems (USA), industrial PCs by Advantech and the integrated SCADA and SOFTLOGIC system TRACE MODE. It is interesting, that TRACE MODE  has been used both on operator PC (SCADA/HMI) and in controllers (SOFTLOGIC).

The SCADA/HMI TRACE MODE based control system has shown high reliability. The system availability factor have been equal to 0.984.

A TRACE MODE Based Control System Improves The Operating Efficiency of a Compressor Station

Zaporozhye Aluminium Smelter (ZAS) is one of the biggest plants on the territory of Ukraine. In its operation, the plant relies on the implementation of new technologies and developments. One of the latest implementations at the plant is the “Compressor Station” control system developed by HARTRON-CONSAT Science & Production Enterprise (S&PE) (Ukraine).

The compressor station task is to provide a failure-free supply of compressed air with the pressure from 5.8 to 6.2 kgf/cm2 (580-620 kPa) to main and auxiliary shops of the plant. The main compressor station equipment of the alumina shop comprises six K-250 type turbo compressors, three 1BB-40/9 compressor plants and one screw compressor.

A New TRACE MODE Based System Launched at Electrode Plant

NPK "UgCMA" OAO "Souzcvetmetavtomatika" (Moscow, Russia) launched new TRACE MODE and Advantech PLC-based control system for charge batching at the Novocherkasskiy electrode plant.

TRACE MODE 5 Launched at Severonikel

The Azimut-Engineering company (S-Peterburg, Russia) has launched a TRACE MODE 5 and ICP CON 7000 PLCs based control system of the copper electrolysis shop remote monitoring at the Severonikel plant (Russia).
